“An event from North Central that I still think about to this day would probably be when the 2019 golf team won the defiance invitational for the first time ever. On that day there were over 20 teams competing in the tournament with plenty of division two and division one high schools. In the midst of all the schools the small division three North Central stunned the bigger schools and took home 1st place that day.”

“Mrs. Hills was the person who allowed me to access a lifestyle that allowed me to have a better connection with my emotions, realizing complex situations and deep thought. Not to look at things so black and white and study the grey area. She also taught me how to look into detail with everything and that really affected my viewpoint on music and that’s what my biggest influence in my life is.”

“For me personally, I would say that school has impacted me a lot. I remember being in high school and I’d always hear, “I can’t wait to get out of here and move on to something else”. But I could, I loved high school. Even to this day I would say my best memories were at school. I grew in my faith, I learned what love was, my future was set up there, I had teachers that have become friends/ mentors, and I have the most amazing lifelong friends all thanks to North Central.”

Upon graduating from North Central Local Schools, I have realized the positive impact my education had on me as student, and as a person. While at North Central, I was actively involved in many clubs and organizations, such as, National Honor Society, student council, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), musical, softball, and volleyball. This allowed me to get involved within my own community and with many associations outside of the district. It also taught me many skills that I now use in my post-secondary education, along with those that I will use in my future career. Among these many skills, include problem solving, effective communication, and self-awareness. The opportunities that I came across while attending North Central would not have been possible without the support of the school’s administration, staff, and those within our rural community.
